To celebrate European Migraine Day of Action (September 12th), MEP Nessa Childers hosted a migraine awareness event in the European Parliament, Brussels.
The meeting was made possible thanks to Eurolight European patient organisation partner EHA, Eurolight associated partner CIRNA /ALCE from Italy , and AEPAC from Spain. Eurolight partner WHA president was also present to support the event.
The meeting focussed on the 'Madrid Manifesto on Migraine and other Headache Disorders' - a five year plan recommendation calling for migraine to be recognised as a disability and demanding increased awareness, education and research around the condition.
